Description / Expertise

A Charles X ormolu mounted porcelain mantel clock having an architectural pediment in gilt bronze with simulated tiles and neoclassical scrolls. The enamel is decorated with poly-chrome floral swags and framed in gilt bronze. Throughout, the clock is mounted with panels of elaborately gilded and painted porcelain.
