An exceptionally fine and rare pair of late 18th century mahogany Gothick card tables possibly by Gillows, the demi-lune tops with highly figured veneer inlaid with satinwood and holly in the form of crockets with very rare red ink engraving bordering a kingwood fan, opening to reveal baize interior, the frieze with blind frets separated by realistically carved oak leaves, all supported on cluster column legs with waterleaf decoration at each end.
