Description / Expertise
Wood-block printed on pale pink hand-brushed background, with original border. French, late 18th century, manufacture Jacquemart (successor of the Reveillon Manufacture). This type of wallpaper called “linon batiste”, imitates cotton cloth, a process invented by Jacquemart & Bénard in 1801.
