NAADAA Activities

For more than 50 years, the association has presented exhibitions, and has sponsored a wide range of conferences and lectures concerning art and antiques for both specialists and general public.

The Association cooperates in organizing the highly-acclaimed International Antique Dealers' Show, and was instrumental in establishing it as the first vetted show in New York City. Held at the Seventh Regiment Armory in October, the International Show is considered to be the foremost antiques and fine arts event in the United States. In 1989 and 1990, NAADAA sponsored the show's lecture program, a series of talks by distinguished museum curators, scholars and decorative arts specialists.

In addition, individual NAADAA members participate in many prestigious national and international antique and art shows, and hold numerous exhibitions in their own establishments. Recognized for their scholarship and expertise, members of the Association contribute to or sponsor a variety of publications in their areas of specialization each year.

In 1993 NAADAA awarded a substantial scholarship to the new Bard Graduate center for Studies in the Decorative Arts. This grant is indicative of our commitment to education and research.
